REMEDIAL MEASURES FOR ASTROLOGICAL PROBLEMS
Often people send in questions that such and such adverse period is running according to his horoscope and request for remedial measures. We also come across people saying that so and so astrologer has suggested a remedy for the current adverse period and say they paid heavily for performing Pooja. In some cases gullible clients are cheated with huge amounts, gold and what not. We are surprised to see a news item recently that unmarried girls who are software engineers were duped to a tune of a crore of rupees. Seeing all these we felt like writing this.
Astrology is in vogue worldwide. People show their inquisitiveness to know their future or to know when their immediate problems will be over or so on so forth. But remedial measures are suggested more particularly only in India or by Indian astrologers. Mostly it is said that by performing Navagraha Japam the evil effects of malefic Dasa or Antardasa will be warded off. May be it is said that the marriage or other function had taken place in bad Muhurat and performing a particular Pooja and giving some Danam / gifting away will eliminate the bad effects.
Astrology gives interpretation of planets and their angles at the birth time on the native's life on the whole and their effect at particular period of time in his life. The destiny of the native born at a particular time, place and date is fixed and the fate cannot be changed. The purpose of knowing the future is to have a solace that good days are ahead or to get prepared for facing/encountering a bad situation as predicted. This preparedness helps mitigating the shock of bad period since one knows it beforehand. When somebody knows the good period, it will give an opportunity to take best advantage of such good period. But in any case the fate cannot be changed. The good and bad as destined to a native shall have to be experienced. No Pooja can ward off the bad nor will it bring good during adverse period.
Then why all these Japam or Pooja etc. is to be performed? Why these are being advised? One can see, though astrology is told in different systems worldwide, that no remedies are told in other countries except in India or except by Indian astrologers. The reason is as follows. In India most of the people from ancient times are illiterate and the village Pundit cannot explain in detail to them. When they ask for a remedy the pundit suggests to get a Pooja performed or Japam to be recited for mitigating the evil effects, though the Pundit knows it cannot be eliminated yet he suggests to give the innocent people the needed confidence so that he can withstand the bad effects and face them squarely. If nothing is suggested, the illiterate and innocent man in knowing evil effects of the particular period as per his horoscope may get mental agony and thus it may cause more harm than doing any good. Some astrologers suggest wearing a particular stone that will turn the fate.
Similarly in Vaastu our ancient scholars have enumerated as to how a construction is to be done and what rules are to be followed. It is a science of those days dealing with engineering of all types. Our Pundits say what is to be done. When a question comes from some corner that what happens if not followed, he immediately says that health of habitant may suffer or some thing like that so that basic safety rules are followed in construction. Today unfortunately many are using these words to exploit the gullible clients and making to do changes to their buildings paying heavily for repairs and Vaastu consultant's fee.
Another instant is Muhurat for marriage or other function. Muhurat is fixed based on certain rules for doing some function and such Muhurat time shall be devoid of durmuhurat time or varja time and should be Panchak Rahit. What is this Panchak Rahit? The muhurat time shall be one of Panchak Rahit - there shall be no danger for life, no evil effect of robbers, no evil effect of fire/Agni, no evil effect from king and no evil effect of ill health. According to the rules a muhurat shall be without these evil effects so that the function of that day goes off smoothly. A wrong interpretation is being given that good muhurat will turn the destiny for good or bad muhurat will turn it for bad. This is a wrong notion. The muhurat is for that day's event and it cannot change the fate of the person or persons performing the event on that day.
From the above one can understand the intensions of our ancient scholars. Knowing the fate itself will help to face the situation. Don't get carried away with wrong advises. If any Pooja or Japam is to be performed, please do it by yourself so that it will act as morale booster. Wearing a ring with particular stone will help to some extent to boost the morale but none will change the destined fate.
Lastly if any of these remedies change the fate for good, astrologers do it for themselves and change their fate first before advising to others. Any astrologer shall tell the good of the horoscope and caution about bad in such a way that the native is made ready to face the situation squarely but should not exploit the weakness of gullible.

For each key number certain numbers are favourable and certain numbers are adverse. So you can choose persons, places, dates etc., having favourable numbers to achieve your goals and ends. Zero If a zero is there at the end of a numbers such as 10, 20, 30 they are stronger than key numbers 1,2,3. Similarly if there are one or more zeros that year will be stronger than the other years. In the months October is having zero after one hence it has more importance. Though we ignore zero at the end after adding the digits to arrive the key number it need to be taken into account for knowing the strength of the number of the individual. Similarly the dates 11 and 22 are having more importance.
To know whether a particular day is favourable or not to undertake a job or otherwise, you have to add date month and year on which you have chosen to attend, and if the key number of that date is favourable to your key number then that date is favourable for attending the job, if the key number of that date is adverse to your key number that date is avoidable. For example 16-11-2000 if added gives 11 by further adding gives 2, which is the key number of that date, for persons with key number 7 or 9 that date is favourable, if the persons key number is 5 that date unfavourable.
COMPATIBILITY
The key numbers 1 to 9 are made into 3 groups with 1,5,7 first group, 2,4,8 second group, 3,6,9 third group. People of the same group will have better compatibility in friendship, partnership and spousal relations. If we observe the first group is of odd numbers, second group is of even numbers and the third group consists one even and two odd numbers. In the third group people with odd key number better choose another person with odd number of the group and the person with even number of that group better choose a person with even number of the same group so as to have better understanding between them.
HOW TO CHOOSE A FAVOURABLE DATE
For undertaking an important work better one chooses same date as of his birth date. People born 1,10,19,28 better they choose the same dates of the month for undertaking important work. For these date 4,8 is favourable numbers. Even though 4 is favourable number better avoid 4,13, 22 and 31 dates. The persons having 4 and 8 as key numbers better avoid 4, 13, 22 and 31 and choose other favourable dates, they should also leave 8,17,26. For them 9,18,27 are also not favourable
